I’m truly grateful for the response to the videos I’ve uploaded so far, and I’m working as fast as I can to keep producing them. Thank you for the patience and support. Making a Christmas Tree Bonsai
Переглядів 415 тис.Рік тому
The sight and smell of the Norway Spruce will be familiar to many, being one of the more popular Christmas trees around the world. Spruce often grow with perfectly straight trunks, making them good subjects for formal upright bonsai. Watch as I try to create such a tree, one that is representative of its mature counterpart in the wild, while also maintaining visual interest in its miniature for...
A Wild Tree (Yamadori) Becomes a Bonsai
Переглядів 1,1 млнРік тому
Collected trees (yamadori in Japanese) often possess qualities that are almost impossible to recreate by hand. This is usually due to the harsh conditions they have endured over long periods of time. In this video I create a bonsai from a 70 year old collected Sabina Juniper, doing my best to enhance the natural characteristics of the tree without losing the wild magic within. If you'd like to ...
Creating an 'Instant' Bonsai Tree
Переглядів 823 тис.2 роки тому
In a world that demands an ever-increasing level of instant gratification, bonsai seem to provide an antidote. Time and the seasons can't be sped up, and so patience is learned. An 'instant' bonsai seems to be somewhat of an oxymoron, but bonsai from untrained material can be created in a very short space of time. As rewarding as it is to invest years into a tree, there is still an undeniable s...
A Japanese Larch Becomes a Bonsai
Переглядів 2,2 млн2 роки тому
Follow the process of transforming a simple Japanese Larch into a bonsai tree over the course of a year. Working with the plant material at hand, and using mature Larch trees in nature as inspiration, I do my best to come up with a sustainable design that is representative of a larger alpine tree buffeted by the elements such as wind and snow. My aim is always to create a miniature representati...

BONSAI IS BAD AT FORTNITE
brilliant
Beautiful video definitely new subscriber! Scottish Bonsai
being from Scotland myself with many Scots to work on like that old tree in the rock! Our tree's are completely protected against being dug up in the wild it's locating farms near by that want them removed to get fencing in etc is really the only way to get good one's! I have a few from garden centres I've had in massive training pots for 15 years now just being ready to be worked on
Salam from Pakistan
you are such a great artist, my man
Can I buy a tree from you?
your videos made me want to start with bonsai.
This man is an artist. that was an incredible transformation.
Where do you buy bonsai at?
Master class in bonsai, videography and storytelling. Thank you for this
Tree spa
I want to live in that tree
From the members of the bonsai community. We’d love a little background. I mirror everything said already. I was brought up with a dad in television soo ooo the production work is, yes, equally impressive. Regarding this tree. They love to grow very slowly here and it takes ages for them to hold their own weight unless wired. I hope you’ve got a variety that runs a bit and gives you some relatively quick results.
Wow! The deliberate movements, calming music, the amazing tree transformation!! I wish I could give you ten thumbs up!
finally a tree you didn't put dead wood into. if it happens naturally fine, but don't intentionally do it to the trees they already have a harder life than most trees without adding to it.
Go outside and actually look at trees before talking. 99% of them have dead limbs/branches.
One of THE absolute BEST video ive ever seen on bonsai! Clear, Precise, méditative and with no confusion!! Please keep it up!
Your videos are extremely educational
I wish you could help me with my wild bonsai in my garden... :D
Man that look amazing and the quality of your work is remarkable Wonder where did you learn of this mini world ? Hope to see soon with another masterpiece and no just the bonsai itself but your film approach is amazing one of the very best 👋👋👋🇨🇷
So this is what Cal Scruby does in his downtime…🤔

@ 2:55 TBH I could have watched EVERY SECOND of the cleaning out of that deadwood .... OH MAN thats satisfying stuff :P
Insane.
The production level on this is insane, 100% unnecessary, and I love it.
These little trees are so cute.
Where do you get your plants from?? The wild?? Or??
Wow! I am just getting in bonsai trees. I can only hope one day to be half as good as what I just saw😊
